From your roving service technician operating at the client's facilities to the service manager in the home office the GlyphStream Field Service! application suite offers your employees automatic data collection capabilities and immediate access to client service histories, incident management and parts look-up and expediting.

GlyphStream Field Service! is based on the GlyphStream Enterprise Data Server (EDS) platform from Rockpile Solutions. The GlyphStream EDS offers real-time, secure data exchange and seamless integration between virtually any wireless, wired and remote web-enabled data collection environment including most mainstream Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems including the SAP R/3 Enterprise System, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), most standard enterprise database systems, and even your B2B e-commerce and Supply Chain web data.

Our GlyphStream Field Service! product line offers many standard Business Process Modules that integrate real-time data collection, manipulation and viewing tasks with specific warehouse, shop floor and corporate functionality. An example of how the GlyphStream Field Service! applications work might be:

Prior to the site visit:

Your technician can download repair and service data to mobile handheld units. This data can be retrieved from the GlyphStream database and/or your ERP system. An alternative application can have users download the data remotely via a dial-up connection (digital or landline modem).

At the customer site:

The technician can scan the product ID, and bring up a display of all associated data for the product including:

Service data can be entered by your technician via the handheld including:

This replaces paper-based service orders.

If a special order part is required, the technician can instantly relay that information to the home office, the ERP system or even directly to the appropriate vendor.

Upon returning to the home office:

Your technician can upload their field service data to the GlyphStream database and/or your ERP system. An alternative application can have users upload the data to the main office remotely via a dial-up connection (digital or landline modem).
